Galway Bay fm newsroom - Taoiseach Michael Martin has been asked in the Dáil to urgently update dental regulation - in light of the ongoing orthodontic saga in Oranmore.
It's after Dr. Anne Hahessy abruptly ceased services in July after sending text messages to patients and their familes.
Since then, there's been a large degree of confusion and uncertainty surrounding issues like treatment, refunds and access to records.
It's led to national debate on an alleged lack of power held by the Dental Council of Ireland to intervene to assist those affected.
Galway West Deputy Noel Grealish addressed Micheal Martin during the first session of the returned Dáil.
