Tanaiste says daily covid cases expected to surpass 4,000 in coming days

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Tanaiste says the daily covid case numbers are expected to surpass 4,000 in the coming days.

They have been above 3,000 for the past three days.

The five day moving average of Covid-19 cases has increased by 47 percent in the space of a week.

But Leo Varadkar doesn’t think restrictions will have to be re-introduced.
