Tánaiste Michéal Martin has paid tribute to Galway West TD Eamon O' Cuiv - who is retiring from the Dáil after almost 40 years of service.
His career with Fianna Fail spans almost 40 years - and has seen him serve in roles from Senator to Cabinet Minister.
He's been a TD for Galway West since 1992 - and topped the poll in 2002, 2007, 2016 and 2020.
Speaking in the Dáil, Deputy O' Cuiv reflected on how complicated politics has now become.
And paying tribute, Tánaiste and leader of Fianna Fail, Michéal Martin had this to say.
