Galway Bay fm newsroom - A new weekly support group for stroke survivors will be launched in Ballinasloe next week.
It's being organised by the Irish Heart Foundation and members of Portiuncula Hospital stroke team.
The group is the 13th in a network of stroke clubs around the country.
The launch of the stroke support group will take place at the Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe from 7.30p.m to 9p.m next Tuesday May 2nd.

Weekly meetings will then begin on Wednesday May 10 at the East Galway & Midlands Cancer Support Centre in Ballinasloe.
Chris Macey from the Irish Heart Foundation explains that the support groups provide a great outlet for people living with stroke.
