Success for Galway City and County at 2024 Pride of Place Awards

Galway City and County had success at the 2024 IPB Pride of Place Awards held at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan last night.

Hopespace, a children's grief service based in the SCCUL (Skull) Enterprise Centre in Ballybane, won the top prize in the Community Youth Initiative category.

Afterwards, Hopespace Chairperson Kathleen Hartnett and Coordinator Aine Deely spoke to Ollie Turner.

There were also runner-up Awards for Merlin Residents Association and City Arts organisation Branar.

Meanwhile, Galway County had further success with national runner-up trophies for both Williamstown and Kinvara.

Williamstown won their award in Category 1 for towns with a population of 300 or less.

Kinvara picked up a national runner-up trophy in the Climate Action and Biodiversity category.
