Galway Bay fm newsroom - Electricity supply has been restored to some homes in the East Galway area after Storm Doris hit overnight, however there are still more than 800 customers without power.
Two faults in the Creagh area are still affecting about 660 ESB customers in the Ahascragh and Ballinasloe areas.
Two faults in Lawrencetown are affecting about 120 customers and half of these should have a supply restored by lunchtime.
There is a fault in the Headford area affecting about 82 customers with the power supply expected to be restored by about 1.30 this afternoon.
Many county roads were blocked for a time this morning due to fallen trees and debris as a result of gale force wind and rain overnight.
The ESB says crews are working to repair faults in severe weather conditions.
