Step forward in plans to tackle flooding on N83 through Claregalway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - There's been a step forward in long-awaited plans, to tackle flooding along the N83 in Claregalway.

The project has been touted for years - but has been stalled because the county council has encountered difficulty, in securing land needed.

Councillor James Charity says a deal has now been agreed, that will accommodate the creation of a surface water retention pond.

He outlines what'll happen next.
