Galway Bay fm newsroom - A 'Status Yellow' wind warning is now in place for Galway and 5 other counties.
Met Eireann says southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 kilometres per hour while gusts could reach 100 kilometres per hour.
The wind warning is now in place and will continue until noon tomorrow.
