Status 'Yellow' wind warning in place for Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - There is a status 'yellow' weather warning for wind in place for Galway.

Met Eireann says strong and gusty southeast winds are expected until 7 o' clock this evening.

The strongest winds will be along the coast or on high ground.

Meanwhile, a status orange rain warning for Cork and Waterford is in place until 6 this evening.

There's also a status yellow alert for Kilkenny, Wexford, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary.

Very wet conditions are being reported this morning - especially around Castlebar, Roscommon Town, Tralee and Cork city.
