Galway Bay fm newsroom:
A 'Status Yellow' wind warning has been issued for Galway and 5 other counties.
Met Eireann says southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 kilometres per hour while gusts could reach 100 kilometres per hour.
The wind warning takes effect at 3 o' clock this afternoon until noon tomorrow.
