Special mass at Galway Cathedral to mark anniversary of Pope John Pauls visit to Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway Cathedral is to hold a special mass next month to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Pope John Paul's visit to Galway.

John Paul the Second celebrated mass with a quarter of a million young people at Ballybrit Racecourse on the 30th of September in 1979.

Those who attended the historic event are invited to the Commemorative Mass being held at Galway Cathedral on the 29th of September at 3pm.
