Special council meeting in Ballinasloe over closure of Arrabawn Dairies in Kilconnell

From Galway Bay FM newsroom- A special meeting of the Municipal District of Ballinasloe will get underway in the next hour, over the closure of Arrabawn Dairies.

On Thursday last, the board of directors agreed to the sale of the plant in Kilconnell.

Cathaoirleach of the Ballinasloe District, Councillor Evelyn Parsons, called the emergency meeting of local reps to see what support can be offered.

It's due to get underway at 11am.
