Galway Bay fm newsroom - A public meeting will take place in Gort next month to update South Galway residents on flood mitigation plans for the region.
The meeting will be hosted by the South Galway Flood Relief Committee.
A delegation from South Galway travelled to Europe this month to seek assistance on flood relief solutions for the Gort lowlands and surrounding areas.
They've sought advice from EU policy makers and enforcement agencies to provide a satisfactory overall solution.
A public meeting will be held in late March to discuss the matter, with a date yet to be decided.
