Twenty ewes and ten lambs were killed, while over a dozen more were injured.
It's not known what dog was responsible or if multiple dogs were involved, but Christopher says a loose Alsatian was spotted nearby at 6.30am.
Speaking to Galway Talks, Christopher said the real cost of the attack goes far beyond the €5 thousand.
