Solidarity party select election candidate for Galway City East

The Solidarity party has selected a candidate to run in the local elections for Galway City East.

Castlegar man Conor Burke will join the People Before Profit and Solidarity ticket alongside existing candidate Denman Rourke.

This is Mr Burke’s third time running in the local elections, having been a long time political activist with both the Socialist party and the Solidarity party.

His campaign will focus on issues such as the housing crisis, biodiversity and challenges with the cost of living crisis that face families and young people.
