Galway Bay fm newsroom - There's been a slight drop in the level of unemployment across Galway during October.
While the figures for September saw a large drop on those recorded in August, the live register has remained generally static since.
There are now 7,783 people unemployed across county Galway and some areas have experienced bigger fluctuations than others.
In Galway City, 65 people left the live register last month, leaving it at 3,900.
Tuam also experienced a decrease with the number of unemployed in the area now standing at 1,167.
In Ballinasloe, the figure is now 912 - that's a reduction of 19 people compared to September.
Increases in unemployment were recorded elsewhere such as in Clifden where the figure rose by 38 to finish at 484 on the live register
An additional 27 people joined the live register in Gort, leaving it at 573.
Finally, there was a marginal rise recorded in Loughrea where 747 people were out of work in the area last month.
