Galway Bay fm newsroom - There was a slight drop in unemployment across Galway last month.
The biggest drop was in Galway City - while several areas experienced increases in live register figures during October.
Overall, unemployment across Galway was down last month; from 9,578 pople on the live register in September, to 9,438 last month.
The biggest drop was in Galway City, which fell from 4,717 to 4,583 during the same period.
There was a slight drop of 37 people on the Live Register in Tuam, which now stands at 1,464.
While Loughrea experienced a similar drop of 28, with the number of unemployed now 1,027.
Meanwhile, in Ballinasloe, the live register increased marginally by just 7 people, with the Live Register for October finishing at 1,107.
There was a relatively strong increase recorded in Clifden; from 532 unemployed in September, to 570 people last month.
While in Gort, there was also an increase in live register figures during October - from 701, to 715 people.
