Galway Bay fm newsroom - Six towns across county Galway have been selected for the 2021 streetscape enhancement scheme.
Galway County Council will receive €320 thousand for this year's scheme, which will benefit projects in Ballygar, Glenamaddy, Headford, Loughrea, Oranmore and Oughterard.
Funding can be used for the painting of buildings, commissioning of murals, restoration of historic shopfronts and the installation of canopies and street furniture.
The county's allocation is part of a €7 million fund which was announced by the Rural Development Minister Heather Humphreys.
