Deputy Connolly noted that while some progress is finally being made, there's still no mention whatsoever of facilities for the west side of Galway city.

She outlined how 'Park and Ride' was included in the city development plan in 2005 - but very little has happened since.

Deputy Connolly argued there's still an incredible lack of urgency on providing sustainable transport options to tackle the crippling traffic issues.
