Galway Bay fm newsroom - There was a significant decrease in unemployment across Galway last month.
There are now just over 13,700 people out of work across Galway.
The biggest decrease in unemployment last month was in the city where 116 people came off the Live Register.
There are now just under 7,000 people out of work in the city.
The next biggest decrease was in Gort - 60 people came off the register last month, leaving Gort's unemployment figure at just under a thousand.
Clifden saw a similar decrease, with a drop of 56 last month.
Clifden's jobless figure now stands at 825.
In Ballinasloe, 49 people came off the register in March, leaving just over 1,600 people out of work in the town and its surrounds.
Loughrea's jobless figure dropped by 45 last month to just over 1,350.
In Tuam, 40 people came off the Live Register in March.
Tuam's unemployment figure now stands at 2,030.
Overall, there a just over 13,700 people out of work across the city and county - a drop of over 12% on last year.
