Around the time spectators will be leaving the stadium, the 34th annual 'Streets of Galway' 8K road race will also be getting underway.

Over three thousand runners are set to pass by Leisureland in Salthill at around 7.15pm - the same time Daniel O Donnell fans will also be arriving for a concert.

The Streets of Galway Committee is warning of potentially serious traffic issues that may present a hazard to both runners and concert goers.

It says it has a traffic management plan in place following consultation with Gardai, who will also be present to control the flow of traffic.

Concert goers are being asked to ensure they arrive at the venue early, before traffic control measures are put in place at 7pm.
