Senator PJ Murphy has raised the difficulty of building homes in South Galway in his first speech at Leinster House.
Ardrahan-native Senator Murphy was serving his second term as a Loughrea area councillor when he was elected to the Seanad on the Agricultural Panel.
Addressing the chamber for the first time, he started by thanking his parents, family, friends and supporters in Ardrahan and the wider South Galway area.
And Fine Gael Senator Murphy then raised the fact that almost no housing developments are building built in the area due to lack of wastewater systems.
