Roscommon Fianna Fáil Senator Eugene Murphy has appealed to GAA officials to defer games - even at this late stage.
It comes as the Government has announced that Level 5 restrictions will be introduced nationwide from midnight tomorrow with a number of exemptions, including that elite sports such as inter-county GAA may proceed.

Senator Murphy argues it was a grave mistake to allow games to be played over the weekend.
Speaking in the Seanad, he said that Six Nations and League of Ireland fixtures should also be postponed...
