Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Tyrone based company, which built schools which are now being investigated over fire safety concerns, is currently building an extension to Galway's Educate Together school in Newcastle.
Western Building Systems built dozens of schools which are now being assessed over fire safety issues.
The Irish Examiner has revealed that the firm is still receiving work from the Department of Education.
This is despite the government being in contact with the Chief State Solicitor over safety issues at other schools.
Minister Richard Bruton confirmed a review has been launched into all 37 schools built by the company since 2003.
Western Building Systems was given the contract for six more schools by the State after the fire safety concerns were identified, including the extension to the Educate Together school in Newcastle.
