Satelite broadband service rolled out to rural areas in East Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A satelite broadband service has been rolled out to rural areas of East Galway.

Imagine is now offering high speed broadband to homes and businesses in areas including Tynagh, Ballynakill, Liss, Ballyshrule and Mullagh.

The provider says priority will be given to essential workers, remote workers, school students and community groups.

Galway East TD Sean Canney says the development by Imagine will provide an immediate solution to many local areas with little or no service options.
