Safety works underway on dangerous corner in Caherlistrane

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Safety works are being carried out today on a dangerous corner in Caherlistrane.

Contractors are putting in anti-skid markings at Loftus Corner, with road signage to follow.

It’s after a number of incidents in which cars lost control at the corner and ended up in a nearby field.

Councillor Andrew Reddington says local residents have been looking for these works for years.
