Road restrictions as Bunowen River bursts its banks

Galway Bay fm newsroom:

Motorists travelling outside the Ballinasloe area are advised to expect some delays this morning.

It comes as the Bunowen River located between Derrymullen and Creggane has burst its banks.

The incident has led to significant flooding with the road reduced to one lane.

Local Sinn Fein councillor Dermot Connolly says crews are on site working to rectify the issue.
