The possibility of closing certain roads to traffic in Loughrea was the top concern raised at last evening's meeting regarding the local area plan.
Around 70 people attended the public meeting, from business owners to local residents, and most were worried about the impacts of traffic being limited in parts of the town.
Almost 900 submissions have been received by Galway County Council regarding the draft plan, which sets out goals for the area from 2024-2030.
