Galway Bay fm newsroom:
A long awaited review of parking by-laws for Galway City is due to take place at the start of next year.
The review follows calls by Councillors for the 2009 by-laws to be updated for the first time in almost a decade.
The issue has been highlighted over the past 2 years by residents of the Claddagh who've been refused parking permits on the grounds of having driveways or other off-street parking availability.
That decision has now been reversed pending next year's review of the laws, with eligible residents urged to re-apply for the permits.
