Residents are expressing concern at the linking of plans to redevelop Leisureland with Salthill Park.
The plans aren't new, being first announced last year - but flyers on a local meeting were dropped through local letterboxes this week.
The regeneration focus group meeting was held last night, to allow locals to discuss what a reimagined Leisureland and Salthill Park might look like.
But many are unhappy with the level of consultation to date - and some feel last night's meeting was a box checking exercise.
Local resident Rosaline Carroll told Sarah Grealish she wasn't happy with how they were told about the meeting.
But Pat Collins of UrbanLab Galway, which is running the focus groups, says nothing has been decided and they just want to hear peoples opinions.
He says he understands people feeling they've been left "out of the loop" - but that isn't the case.
