A new report has found that Galway city centre and its suburbs had no HAP properties available to rent this month.
The 'Locked Out of the Market' report for the Simon Communities of Ireland shows there were just 33 properties available for rent under the 'discretionary' HAP scheme this October.
The report is a snapshot study of 16 locations - over three consecutive days - every three months.
Executive Director Wayne Stanley says the findings are stark.
