Report finds no HAP properties available to rent in Galway city

A new report has found there are no HAP properties to rent in Galway city centre or its suburbs.

The Simon Communities’ latest Locked Out of the Market report of 16 areas across Ireland found just 27 homes available for those who receive the Housing Assistance Payment.

It’s the lowest number since the charity first started producing the report eight years ago.

Simon Communities Executive Director, Wayne Stanley says the payment is crucial to avoid homelessness – and has this advice for Government:
