Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway has the fourth highest COVID-19 incidence rate nationwide.
According to the latest report from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, there were 746 notified cases in Galway.
The report which examines the week from April 10th to 16th, reveals the median age of those contracting the virus in Galway is 43.
Waterford has the highest incidence rate at 378.7 per 100 thousand in population.
Nationally, there were over 11,800 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the week examined, representing a 41.5% decrease on the week before.
The highest number of new confirmed cases in week 15 was in the age group of 35-44 years.
