Renmore native Maura Fahy has been named Galway's Carer of the Year.
The award recognises Maura's incredible commitment and dedication to her parents, Helena and Paddy - who she took care of for over 14 years before the passing of her father last month.
She will shortly compete for the Connacht Carer of the Year title.
Speaking to our reporter Chris Benn, Maura says there are sacrifices involved but they are worth it to care for your loved ones.
