Refusal for planned housing development in Gort

Galway Bay FM Newsroom - Plans for a housing development in Gort have been turned down.

The proposed development would have consisted of nine homes at Sliabh Carran at Ennis Road.

But county planners have turned down the development - firstly finding it's not in keeping with the Gort Local Area Plan.

They also noted a number of other issues, including a failure to provide an appropriate level of amenity space.
