Redeveloped public toilets to open on Salthill Prom in coming weeks

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A set of redeveloped public toilets on the Promenade in Salthill are set to open in the coming weeks.

The new facility at Palmer's Rock, across from Salthill Garda Station, will contain two toilet units; one of which will be wheelchair accessible

The area previously had public toilets which were deemed no longer fit-for-purpose.

Local Councillor Clodagh Higgins argues the new facilities are vital given in the increased demand for public conveniences in recent months.

She says while it's a welcome development, additional toilets are still needed in the area....
