Reconstruction works to take place at former Taaffes building on Shop St

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Reconstruction works are to take place at the former Taaffes building on Shop Street.

City planners have approved an application for permission made by Radical Properties Limited.

Galway City Council had previously written to the property owner - raising concerns over the iconic building - which is a protected structure.

The works would include the reconstruction of the front facing and the chimney stack, as well as some internal measures.
