Rainfall weather warning issued for Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A status yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Galway.

Met Eireann is warning that heavy rain is expected this afternoon and evening - with falls of up to 30mm possible over a short period of time.

The weather warning comes into effect at 2 this afternoon and will remain in place until 9pm.

It covers Connacht, as well as counties Donegal, Clare and Kerry.
