Galway Bay fm newsroom - Four science initiatives at NUI Galway have been awarded 250 thousand euro in funding to promote better public understanding of STEM subjects nationwide.
The projects will engage over 40 thousand members of the public throughout 2017 in a bid to raise greater awareness of science, technology, engineering and maths.
The selected initiatives are 'CELL Explorers', 'Genetic Testing: Engaging the West of Ireland', 'Bright Club' and 'ReelLIFE Science'.
The funding will be delivered through the Science Foundation Ireland Discover Programme.
