Galway Bay fm newsroom - Pupils and staff at Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh are this morning moving into their new school building at Miller's Lane (Mon 8/1)
The new school, which will be one of the biggest primary schools in Ireland operating through the medium of Irish, can accommodate up to 720 pupils.
The new building which was built by Stewart Constructio, contains 24 classrooms, 5 support rooms , library, staff room , 2 multi-purpose rooms, offices,suitable playing areas as well as parking facilities.
Father Tadhg Quinn, the Parish Priest of St John the Apostle Parish, Knocknacarra will visit the school to bless the new building.
Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh will this year celebrate 25 years since its foundation.
