Galway Bay fm newsroom - A public meeting on the proposed Apple development and the future of Athenry will take place in the town tonight. (13/2)
The event is being organised by the Athenry for Apple campaign.
The group says Athenry, with the arrival of Apple, could become a hub for industry and business in the county.
It says the opening of the Gort to Tuam motorway will situate the town exactly halfway between two international airports with easy access to both Dublin and Galway.
However, the group says infrastructural improvements are needed to allow Athenry to reach its full potential.
The public meeting will take place at the Raheen Woods Hotel at 9 o' clock tonight.
