Galway Bay fm newsroom - A public information event on the planned renovation of Loughrea Town Hall will take place this weekend.
It comes as Galway County Council will this week lodge a Part 8 planning application for the revamp of the disused protected structure located at the corner of Barrack Street and Church Street.
The information event will be held at the Loughrea Hotel on Saturday from 2 to 6pm where drawings of the renovation will be on display. (4/12)
The plans aim to provide a ground floor theatre and cultural centre, as well as a community training and hotdesk facility.
There would also be enterprise hubs on the first floor.
The project has been developed over seven years and is supported through a €1.6 million grant from the government’s Rural Regeneration Fund.
