Public consultation gets underway today for the proposed Derryfadda Wind Farm on Bord na Móna’s landbank near the Roscommon border.
The project is in the very early stages of development with the number, location and height of the turbines still to be determined.
Three public consultation meetings will take place this week from 5pm to 8.30pm - starting in Ballyforan Community Centre in Roscommon this evening.
The Mattie McDonagh Centre in Ballygar will host the first of the Galway consultations tomorrow evening.
While on Thursday, the final meeting will be held in Ahascragh Community Centre in Ballinasloe.
