Galway Bay fm newsroom - A survey is being circulated to gather feedback from the local community in Athenry on a proposal for pedestrianisation.
The survey is led by Athenry Community Council and asks locals to consider the pedestrianisation of streets surrounding the market square.
It also looks at implementing a one-way system on Old Church Street.
The community council suggests implementing a pedestrian-only area would facilitate accessibility, walking, browsing, socialising and decongestion in the town.
