Galway Bay fm newsroom - Public consultation on the extension of the Western Rail Corridor is closing tomorrow.
Iarnród Éireann is encouraging the public and interested organisations to take part in the consultation as part of a financial and economic appraisal.
The appraisal aims to establish if the proposed extensions to the corridor from Athenry to Tuam and from Tuam to Claremorris represent value for money.
The deadline for submissions on the next phases of the project is tomorrow.
The outcome of the appraisal will be presented to the Department of Transport by the end of September.
