Progress on pedestrian crossing at Blackrock in Salthill

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Progress is being made on installing a pedestrian crossing at Blackrock in Salthill.

That's according to city councillor Clodagh Higgins, who says a plan is being reviewed at City Hall.

She argues the iconic area is one of the busiest locations in Salthill, and a crossing is long past-due.

Councillor Higgins says there's a real safety issue and it's important that this plan is advanced as quickly as possible.
