Galway Bay fm newsroom - Plans are moving forward for a new building for Clarin College in Athenry.
The Department of Education is seeking planning permission for a new 1 thousand pupil school on a site adjacent to Joyce's supermarket.
It's hoped that construction can begin in October provided there are no delays.
Galway East T.D Ciaran Cannon says he's optimistic there won't be any.
