Due to the high court decision in June, the issuing of primary medical certificates for disabled drivers and passengers had been suspended. The scheme provided tax reliefs linked to the purchase and use of specifically constructed or adapted vehicles by a person with a disability.
But as the Government looks to implement the recommendation of the high court, the issuing of certs to those who seek to avail of the scheme is suspended. So this week Sally-Ann visited a number of people in Galway who are directly affected by this current situation.
