Power restored to some homes but hundreds in county still without electricity

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Over 200 homes and businesses in the city and county have no electricity supply this afternoon.

The areas affected are Ballyconneely, Maam, Carraroe and Inis Oírr.

It's hoped power will be restored to most areas in the next hour, with an envisaged restoration time of 5pm for Maam.
