Mr Scott has pleaded not guilty to the murder, claiming it was a tragic farm accident.

The court has heard that Michael Scott told Gardaí his relationship with Ms Treacy was "fine" and "decent".

He also said he gave a "deaf ear" to solicitor's letters looking to partition the land they jointly owned, because he didn't know how the land could be divided.

During interviews after his arrest on suspicion of murder, Mr Scott told Gardaí they only ever argued about "simple things", such as leaves being left on the yard or dirt from the tractor.

Mr Scott claims he did not see Ms Treacy when reversing the agricultural teleporter, however the court has recently heard that she would have been visible.

The trial continues in front of Ms Justice Caroline Biggs and a jury of seven men and eight women.
